Alaska, With Newfound Courage of Scott S.

I never expected my first cruise to Alaska to change me the way it did. Before I left, I was nervous—truly nervous. The kind of nerves that make you second‑guess every decision. But from the moment I booked, Pride and Passport was right there beside me. Joe guided me with such care that I felt supported before I ever stepped onboard.

He recommended the Inside Passage and insisted I choose a balcony stateroom. I didn’t realize then how much that balcony would become my sanctuary. Every morning, I opened the curtains to mountains wrapped in fog, glass‑still water, and skies that shifted from silver to gold. It felt like the world was whispering, “You’re exactly where you’re meant to be.”

And then came the ports—each one a chapter in a story I didn’t know I needed.

Every Port, A Different Memory

Each stop along the Inside Passage had its own personality, its own rhythm, its own magic. Together, they created a mosaic of experiences that felt bigger than a vacation. They felt like they were healing. Like discovery. Like joy.

What began as a trip I was unsure about became the adventure of a lifetime. I felt supported, seen, and celebrated every step of the way. Pride and Passport didn’t just plan my cruise, they helped me find the courage to embrace something extraordinary.

Skagway: A Step Into the Past

Skagway felt like walking into a living postcard. Wooden boardwalks, colorful storefronts, and the echo of Gold Rush history in every direction. I wandered the streets with a sense of wonder, imagining the thousands of dreamers who once stood where I stood. The mountains towered above the town like gentle guardians, and the air carried that crisp, unmistakable Alaskan freshness. It was the first moment I realized: I wasn’t nervous anymore. I was captivated.
